Watch Jimmy Fallon Test Out Ridiculous Vanilla Ice Board Game

‘Tonight Show’ host explores a handful of bizarre products in hilarious new segment “Do Not Game”

Jimmy Fallon holds three things sacred: his family, his freedom and board games. On Tuesday night’s episode of The Tonight Show, the comedian-host focused on the latter – but instead of bringing out his guests for a round of Clue or Risk, he explored ridiculous board game “stinkers” for a hilarious new segment called “Do Not Game.” The funniest bit – available above – finds Fallon and Roots frontman Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter trying out the Vanilla Ice Electronic Rap game, which allows players to rap random phrases over a “beatbox machine.”

It’s difficult to discern the actual gameplay or strategy, but it’s still a treat to hear Trotter bust out the nonsensical lines “King of the blame / his rap was lame / like a lyric poet shame / yo mama said candle flame.” (Your move, rap game.)

Fallon also demonstrates the insanity of The Sinking of the Titanic Game, a depressing and absurd offering that finds characters venturing on “tropical island adventures” after the ship meets its sunken fate. “The Titanic sank in the icy waters of the North Atlantic,” Fallon notes. “There were no tropical adventures happening.”

Elsewhere, Fallon pokes fun at Ring Around the Nosy, in which participants don creepy-looking elephant masks in order to scoop up rings with their artificial trunks. (Watch Fallon grab some “junk with his trunk” to a soundtrack of mournful piano and synth-strings.) Then there’s Big Foot, “the Giant Snow Monster game,” which makes little sense because Big Foot isn’t exactly a “snow monster.”

The episode also featured performances from rap icon Nas, who sat in with the Roots to promote the new documentary Time Is Illmatic, based on his classic 1994 debut LP.
