Watch Future Bring Out the Weeknd for ‘Low Life’ on ‘SNL’

Rapper also performs “March Madness,” joins Jonah Hill during opening monologue

After scoring three Number One albums over the course of seven months, Future‘s yearlong victory lap continued with his first Saturday Night Live musical guest spot, a huge showcase for the rapper who was not invited to the Grammys. For his first performance of the night, Future welcomed surprise guest the Weeknd – who appeared on SNL in October with his own surprise guest – to the stage for their “Low Life,” off Future’s recent EVOL.

Having released two mixtapes, two albums and a collaborative LP with Drake in the past 14 months, Future had no shortage of tracks to choose from for his SNL guest spot, and for his second performance of the night, he opted for his club anthem “March Madness,” off 2015’s 56 Nights, perhaps in an effort to make sure Grammy voters hear it.

In addition to the two performances, Future also popped up during host Jonah Hill’s opening monologue. “This is my fourth time hosting, so I thought I’d mix it up. We have an amazing guest tonight: Future. I am such a big fan of Future, I figure let’s just kick things off with a musical performance with Future featuring Drake,” Hill said, welcoming Future to the stage, only to be informed that Drake wasn’t there. Hill then eagerly volunteered to take Drake’s place on the duo’s “Jumpman.”
