Conan O’Brien and Kevin Hart hit the gym for a hilarious Conan segment on Thursday, sparring physically and verbally. Working with a personal trainer, Hart was in his natural element, dazzling his work-out partner with impressive pull-ups. O’Brien, meanwhile, “ripped [his] whole ass” while unleashing several “pointless karate kicks.”
Hart opened the bit by hyping his upcoming stand-up comedy film Kevin Hart: What Now?, which documents his August 2015 performance in front of 53,000 fans at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field. “The first comedian to ever perform at a football stadium,” Hart said. “What I really love about what I did is that it hasn’t been done.” But O’Brien ruined his gloating by contesting the specific audience numbers: “50,000 were enjoying it,” he cracked.
The comedians continued to blast each other as they moved through exercises, with O’Brien insulting Hart’s height, high-pitched voice and stylish work-out clothes (“You look like you’re on your way to a nice Armenian wedding”) and Hart firing back about O’Brien’s pale skin and overall physique (“You have the body of a Dutch woman”).
Kevin Hart: What Now? hits theaters on October 14th.
