‘SNL’: Melissa Villasenor Reprises Lady Gaga Impression for ‘Family Feud’ Sketch

“If 99 people are surveyed, you just need one person to believe in you to win the game,” comedian as Gaga says

After the success of her Lady Gaga impression on Saturday Night Live the previous week, Melissa Villaseñor brought back the role for a Family Feud sketch.

For the sketch, Kenan Thompson as Steve Harvey hosted an Academy Awards-themed Family Feud featuring guests including Villaseñor’s Gaga, Spike Lee (Don Cheadle), Glenn Close (Kate McKinnon), Sam Elliott (Beck Bennett), Rami Malek (Pete Davidson), Mahershala Ali (Chris Redd) and Olivia Colman (Cecily Strong).

“It’s such an honor to be on the Feud,” Gaga said to Harvey. “If 99 people are surveyed, you just need one person to believe in you to win the game.”

“Well, I don’t think that’s how it works,” Harvey replied.

“It works if you dream it,” Gaga said before going into the high note from “Shallow.”

Bradley Cooper (Kyle Mooney) then appeared in the sketch saying, “I saw this woman at the Super Bowl Halftime show and I had this wild idea, I thought, maybe she could play a singer,” he recalled.

Villaseñor, who has been on SNL for two-and-a-half years, took on the role of Gaga in the February 9th episode of SNL where she appeared as herself-playing-Gaga on “Weekend Update” and sang a spot-on rendition of the singer’s hit song “Shallow” from A Star is Born. In-between Oscar picks, Villaseñor broke out into song and was even joined by a bearded Cooper for the chorus.
