In the two-minute sketch, Bee plays a modern-day Scrooge who, after already meeting the three ghosts of Charles Dickens’ classic story, wakes up on the day of Trump’s impeachment.
Bee throws open her window and yells out at a passerby, “You there, street urchin, what day is it today?” Upon being informed it’s December, Bee exclaims, “So I haven’t missed impeachment! It’s the greatest day of the year!”
Full Frontal With Samatha Bee also marked Trump’s impeachment with a lengthy monologue where the host got into the Merry Impeachment spirit with a sweater that read “Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Quid Pro Quo.”
“We should all take a moment to feel excited that Trump is finally facing a consequence,” Bee said, letting out a sigh of relief before playing clips of Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham promising the articles of impeachment will “die quickly” in the Senate.
