Before Game of Thrones returns to HBO in its hotly anticipated fourth season, the show will transport fans to Westeros again with the return of its traveling exhibit. This year, it will hit even more cities than it did in its first incarnation last year, stopping by New York, Rio de Janeiro, Oslo and more.
The exhibit will feature a slew of Thrones-related costumes and props – including spears and crossbows, cloaks, dresses, house banners and even dragon eggs – seen in the show’s first three seasons, along with a few select pieces from Season Four. The exhibit will also boast a brand-new interactive experience that transports visitors to the world of Westeros – and, of course, fans will be able to take a seat and snap a picture on the Iron Throne.
The Game of Thrones exhibit will debut in New York at the Time Warner Cable Studios on January 27th through February 1st. After a stop in Mexico City, fans will be able to catch the exhibit in Austin at the South by Southwest Festival before it heads to Rio de Janeiro, Oslo, Toronto, Belfast and, lastly, Vancouver. Check out a full list of dates and locations below.
After a stunning, action-packed third season – capped off by the shocking “Red Wedding,” which topped our list of 2013’s best TV moments – Game of Thrones will make its grand return to HBO on Sunday, April 6th at 9 p.m. EST. The new season will comprise the second half of Storm of Swords, the third book in George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire saga.
