BTS and Jimmy Fallon tackled the “Fortnite Dance Challenge” on Tuesday’s Tonight Show, mimicking the characters from the popular online video game. The South Korean boy band, experts at their own intricate choreography, took turns nailing meme-worthy moves like the bouncy “Orange Justice” and pendulum-like “the Floss.” Fallon jumped in on the wiggly “Boneless” and literally titled “Ride the Pony,” earning the group’s applause and laughter.
The pop stars ended the pre-filmed segment by teaching the host their basic chorus dance for recent single “Idol.” They also performed the rap-heavy song on The Tonight Show, hopping around the stage in flashy jackets.
The septet switched to a more atmospheric mode for a rendition of their electro-pop tune “I’m Fine” – and they also sat down for an interview in which they lobbied for a Grammy appearance, discussed speaking at the United Nations General Assembly and vowed to “stay humble and enjoy the ride.”
“Idol” and “I’m Fine” both appear on the group’s recently issued compilation LP, Love Yourself: Answer, their second chart-topper on the Billboard 200. BTS are currently promoting the album on a world tour; their North American leg continues September 28th in Newark, New Jersey and wraps October 3rd in Chicago, Illinois.
