When the pandemic hit in early spring, prompting set shutdowns throughout Hollywood and around the world, some of the first nail-biting entertainment articles to hit the internet fretted: Is this the end of Peak TV??
Some five months later, we’re happy to report it is not. Television, if not totally well, is most definitely alive. And this fall’s offerings, which include several shows that were delayed because of the coronavirus crisis but whose production has since resumed, are chockablock with far-flung adventure, pulpy action, cringe comedy, juicy thrills, and every other form of escapism you can think of.
The cupboards may not be as full as in years past (unless you count leftovers like Friends), but what’s inside is as delicious as ever. Take a peek.
