Kanye West isn't the only artist in hip-hop to take on Kim Kardashian as his muse: rappers have been rhyming about the reality TV superstar and her relatives for years. The Kardashian-Jenner clan has become the genre's primary reference point for everything from wealth to sex to power, and the songs name-dropping the family and its members – from Caitlyn to Kris to Robert Sr. to every single sister – range from brilliant to grotesque. Here are the 50 that matter most.

Mike Stud, “Gas Pedal (Remix)” (2013)

Lyrics: "Doing anything I can for a Kendall Jenner date/But if not then, it's on to the next, don't be mad at me"

Backstory: Five months after his last attempt at appearing on Kendall's radar (and right after she turned 18), Mike gave it one more shot in his remix of Sage the Gemini's "Gas Pedal."

Atmosphere Featuring Brother Ali, Carnage the Executioner and Hapduzn, “It Ain’t the Prettiest” (2013)

Lyrics: "I wait and watch for gas rates to drop/While you debate if Kim Kardashian’s booty is fake or not"

Backstory: When Barack Obama said in his Kindle Singles interview that, when he was growing up, "kids weren't monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing," he used the now-Mrs. West as a metaphor for tabloid culture. Atmosphere are effectively taking the same approach as the President here, by contrasting the act of indulging in Kim gossip with real problems: being able to afford gas and concern about your kids' welfare.

Kanye West Featuring DJ Khaled, “Cold” (2012)

Lyrics: "And I'll admit, I had fell in love with Kim/Around the same time she had fell in love with him/Well, that's cool, baby girl, do ya thang/Lucky I ain't had Jay drop him from the team"

Backstory: While some fans speculated that the "she had fell in love with him" line might be in reference to Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa (considering Khalifa is mentioned just one line earlier), there's no question as to who Jay could've dropped from the team: when the track came out, Kim's ex-husband Kris Humphries played for the Brooklyn Nets, in which Jay Z owned a minority stake.

Kanye West Featuring Big Sean, 2 Chainz and Marsha Ambrosius, “The One” (2012)

Lyrics: "That's my reality so get off my Scott Disick"

Backstory: West quickly teamed up with fellow Kardashian beau Scott Disick after hooking up with his longtime crush. The rapper has been a fan of Disick's style, and in 2013 he got the reality star to appear in an American Psycho–inspired commercial for Yeezus. On this Cruel Summer track, Disick's name gets used in lieu of the more inappropriate term it closely resembles.

Kanye West Featuring Big Sean and Jay Z, “Clique” (2012)

Lyrics: "My girl a superstar all from a home movie/Bow on our arrival – the un-American idols"

Backstory: No one on this earth is prouder of Kim K's career trajectory than her husband. On "Clique," he celebrates how far she's come from her "home movie" to the power couple they are today.

Tink, “Kardashian” (2012)

Lyrics: "Whippin' up that white girl, tryna get that white money/Whippin' up that white girl, Kardashian, Kardashian"

Backstory: Chicago rapper Tink's "Kardashian" uses reality TV's first family as a metaphor for "that white money." It may also be the catchiest ode to getting paid like Kim K out there.

Hoodie Allen, “Eighteen Cool” (2012)

Lyrics: "Your girl is cashing in, Kourtney Kardashian"

Backstory: If "Sixteen Blue" is the black sheep who smokes cigs and cuts class, "Eighteen Cool" is the jock older brother doing keg stands after prom. When he empties his solo cup, Hoodie Allen keeps it light via pop culture references and Jeezy-style smug motivation.

Soulja Boy, “Kim Kardashian” (2012)

Lyrics: "Kim Kardashian/Kim Kardashian/Kim Kardashian/Kim Kardashian/Damn, she's fine/She's on my mind/She's so beautiful/From the behind"

Backstory: Soulja Boy repeats the name like a mantra, trying to find inner peace. When that fails, he goes with a catcall.

Twista Featuring Juicy J, “Yo Bitch Chose Me” (2012)

Lyrics: "Ass fat, waist slim, Kim Kardashian fashion"

Backstory: We'll never know if Twista's dreaming of another man's girl who dresses like Kim did pre- or post-West's 2012 closet overhaul, but there's one thing he and 'Ye would agree on: this girl is independent and "the type you don't own."

Jon Connor, “Cold Wind Blows” (2012)

Lyrics: "I deserve this, for all of this working/Fuck that, I deserve to see Kim Kardashian shirtless in person"

Backstory: Before he dropped the ultimate West remix album, The Late Registration of a College Dropout Who Had a Dark Twisted Fantasy of 808s and Heartbreak, Connor name-checked Kim as the kind of prize he felt he "deserved" for all his efforts.

Mann Featuring Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar and Shawn Chrystopher, “Bend Ya” (2012)

Lyrics: "'Cause all I wanna do was roll up hash/And smash the ass of a bitch who lived like Kim Kardashian"

Backstory: They might've since blazed by him, but in 2012 Ocean and Lamar were guests on this Mann track. Within a year, though, the latter would be opening for West on the Yeezus Tour, while Mann was probably still dreaming of kush and Kim's tush.

Lyrics: "If I said it, I live it, the black Scott Disick"

Backstory: When British grime MC Skepta premiered "Hold On" on DJ Target's BBC radio show, the host made sure to rewind his Scott Disick line for a second play. "For those of you who don't know, Scott Disick is the super cool one," Target said of the father of Kourtney's three children. "The most swag!" added Skepta.

Lyrics: "OK, so when I'm in the hills, I hang with Kristin Cavallari/And when I'm in Miami, I'm with Kourtney, Kim and Khloe"

Backstory: In Minaj's ode to her girls, she shouts out an international roster of friends. From hitting up Paris with Beyoncé to enjoying Miami with the Kardashian sisters, the rapper would travel to the ends of the earth to hang with the world's most powerful women.

YG Featuring Tyga and Nipsey Hussle, “Bitches Ain’t Shit” (2011)

Lyrics: "Got this bitch named Tar, she let me fuck her in the car/Like Kim Kardashian, she wanna be a star"

Backstory: "Bitches Ain't Shit" opens with a sample of Snoop Dogg repeating the title, then YG kicks it off by detailing how bored he is with all the women in the life. Worst is the girl so dull that the rapper needs pills to spend time with her. If Tyga and Hussle were really there for him, they might have suggested that the problem isn't just the ladies.

Lyrics: "I'm tryna hit Kim Kardashian now, and then Cassie is next"

Backstory: Mariah Carey, Cassie and Keri Hilson are all there alongside Kim on Royce's to-do list. Despite indulging in the thrill of snatching a woman from her partner, Royce shows a little empathy for Ryan Leslie, who dated Cassie before Diddy started working with (and, eventually, dating) her, following the above verse with: "Diddy, you wrong, I feel bad for Ryan Leslie"

Lyrics: "Date rape 'bout to sell a rape tape/Kim Kardashian, Ray J"

B.o.B. Featuring Meek Mill and Playboy Tre, “Epic” (2011)

Lyrics: "I be with a bitch that looks like Kim Kardashian/Shittin' on these niggas not by purpose but by accident"

Backstory: Look, we're not saying when Meek Mill wrote the line, "I be with a bitch that looks like Kim Kardashian" that he was predicting his future relationship with Nicki Minaj — who is the only contemporary star to rival Kim's waist-to-booty ratio — but we're not not saying that, either.

Lyrics: "The God flash the gems I nicknamed your girl Kim/'Cause every time the car dash she in"

Overdoz Featuring Dom Kennedy, “Counting My Money” (2011)

Lyrics: "Ignoring calls from Kim Kardasian/Left a voicemail sayin' she got some cash to spend"

Backstory: On this track from the foursome's Live For, Die For mixtape, Overdoz's Kent Jamz gets points for originality, rhyming "Kardashian" not just with "cash to spend" but also elsewhere "passionate" and "imagining."

Kanye West, “Lost in the World” (2010)

Lyrics: "You're my devil, you're my angel/You're my heaven, you're my hell/You're my now, you're my forever/You're my freedom, you're my jail/You're my lies, you're my truth/You're my war, you're my truce/You're my questions, you're my proof/You're my stress and you're my masseuse"

Backstory: In his most explicitly romantic verse to date, West expressed his love for Kim through a series of grand contrasts: heaven and hell, lies and truth, freedom and jail. The lyrics began their life in 2009 as e-mailed love letters to his future wife, the rapper told radio personality Angie Martinez in 2014.

Lyrics: "If Snoop won't fuck Kim Kardashian I will off of film/Feelin' myself 'cause this is how I feel"

Childish Gambino, “Let Me Dope You” (2010)

Lyrics: "You wouldn't think from the things I'm fashionin'/I'd get more bush than Kim Kardashian"

Backstory: Donald Glover, like many others, owes a great debt to Kim and her family for entering their name into the pop culture lexicon and inadvertently giving rappers a new word to rhyme with "fashion" or, in this case, "fashionin'." This play on words is a clear reference to Reggie Bush, the 49ers' running back and Kim's on-again, off-again boyfriend from 2007 to 2010.

Lyrics: "In Playboy mags like Stacey Dash/Or Kim Kardashian, be a lady at. . . it."

Lyrics: "Damn, I think Kim Kardashian's a man/She stomped him just 'cause he asked to put his hands/On her massive gluteus maximus again/Squeeze it and squish it and pass it to a friend"

Backstory: On "We Made You," Eminem guides a TMZ tour through the wasteland of America popular culture, circa 2009. To the left, there's a couplet poking fun at the John Mayer–Jennifer Aniston relationship, and to the right is a line about squeezing Kim K's butt. Listen as it morphs into a plea for Lindsay Lohan to break up with Samantha Ronson and return to dating men.

Lyrics: "If we had a team, I’d be Reggie Bush/You'd be Kim Kardashian, your body so amazing"

Backstory: Two of Young Money's youngest members, Lil Twist and Lil Chuckee, teamed up for this heavily auto-tuned preteen love song off of the label's first compilation album, We Are Young Money. Kim and her football player ex-beau Reggie Bush serve as one of the kids' many examples of a perfect love story: they also cite Will and Jada Pinkett Smith and the characters Rashad and NewNew from the movie ATL.

Snoop Dogg, “Whatever U Do” (2008)

Lyrics: "Look at the place I'm in/I never fucked Superhead or Kim Kardashian/It's a disgrace to yourself"

Backstory: By 2008, Calvin Broadus Jr. had grown into a family man, hosting Snoop Dogg's Father Hood and dissing peers who preferred to sleep around. He did the latter here by name-dropping two famous women: Kim and Confessions of a Video Vixen author Karrine Steffans.

88-Keys Featuring Kanye West “Stay Up (Viagra)” (2008)

Lyrics: "Try imagining/Something passionate/Between you, Cassie and Kim Kardashian"

Backstory: Behold: West's first lyrical reference to Kim, occurring four years after they met and four years before they started dating. Okayplayer favorite 88-Keys attempted to make a West-ian transition from producer to solo artist with this take on erectile dysfunction, and his friend contributed a pair of verses filled with mental aides such as this.

Chamillionaire, “All Around the World” (2008)

Lyrics: "They be like you look exactly like it's him/Kardashian, it looks exactly like a Kim."

Backstory: This is another one of those "car dashin'" puns. Flowing over the "Paid in Full" beat recycled for Lloyd's "Girls Around the World," Chamillionaire offers some clever couplets. Unfortunately, nothing he says compares to Lil Wayne's Rakim-in-love riff from the original.

Craig Mack, “Flava in Ya Ear” (1994)

Lyrics: "This bad MC with stamina like Bruce Jenner/a winner"

Backstory: A less confident rapper would have tried to bend "stamina," "Jenner" and "winner" until they rhymed, but Mack lets the unchanged words sit side by side by side, all sounding slightly off. Sadly, the line proved untrue: his only other hit, "Get Down," was released just months later.

Das EFX, “Crazy Wit Da Books” (1993)

Lyrics: "The super-duper trooper, oops I'm no beginner/So watch me get loose and run shit like Bruce Jenner"

Backstory: On "Crazy Wit Da Books," Das EFX claim that they "got the knack to freak a track like they were sprintin' in some Asics" and deliver the internal rhymes to prove it. The Jenner reference keeps with the running metaphor, but the song's most creative reference comes one verse later: "I'm followed by your camp like John Cougar" – line break – "Mellen."
