The network's indignation was spurred by the release of two agents' text messages, in which they expressed anti-Trump sentiments like "F Trump" and Hillary Clinton "has to win." They also called Trump an "idiot" and a "douche," causing Bee to crack, "That is not fair – douches are obsolete, gross and poison for vaginas. Oh, wait, no, you know what? That checks out."
Bee pointed out that the text messages were no more inflammatory than the numerous negative statements prominent Republicans like Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham made about Trump during the 2016 election. Furthermore, Bee noted, the FBI and Mueller removed the agents from the investigation months ago once they learned of their texts. And while Trump administration officials have insisted that the President won't use the texts as cause to fire Mueller, Trump can't fire Mueller anyway – though he has reportedly been upset with the one person who can, Deputy U.S. Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
"As a classic bully, of course Trump would rather fire the scrawny little guy who's basically a grown-up Millhouse," Bee cracked. "But firing Mueller isn't even the real goal, since that would get Trump into even more trouble. The goal is to weaken his reputation so that Republicans can ignore their findings. Not that Republicans would ever ignore credible charges against one of their own," Bee added, as a picture of Roy Moore flashed behind her.
