Denis Leary and James Corden revived the former's 1993 comedy anthem, "Asshole" on The Late Late Show Wednesday, dressing up as Bill and Hillary Clinton, respectively, and dedicating the song to Donald Trump.
While the original — about a regular American guy who likes to piss people off because he's bored — seems already custom-made for Trump, Leary and Corden give the song a political twist by putting the Clintons' various shortcomings up against Trump's combative nature and provocative comments.
Corden and Leary trade lines about the former president's slovenliness and love of cheeseburgers, and the Democratic nominee's willingness to "dab on Ellen" in order to reach the Oval Office. "And sometimes I vote in favor of war," the song continued, "Or 'Don't Ask Don't Tell' / A bad choice, yeah yeah! / But no matter how bad, how bad we can be / We've never said Mexicans are rapists on TV / Trump's an asshole!"
Elsewhere, Corden and Leary hilariously harmonized Trump's most asshole-ish qualities, crooning the bridge, "He won't show his taxes / He won't even try / He's kicking out babies when they start to cry / While wearing a red, white and blue Chinese tie! / Trump's an asshole!"
