42. Poppie

Best-known episode: "The Pie"
Sure, he wasn't the biggest fan of abortion rights. But that's not what disturbed Jerry most about Poppie — it was more about Poppie's tendency to pee on couches and not wash up after using the bathroom in his own restaurant. (In Jerry's fastidious mind, bad hygiene is the ultimate sin.) Character actor Reni Santoni had popped up in everything from Dirty Harry to Cobra, but the easily agitated Poppie was his greatest role —  the man who marks his territory all over Jerry's New York. DAVID BROWNE
