Filmmaker Cameron Crowe and producer J.J. Abrams have released the second trailer for their forthcoming Showtime comedy, Roadies. The series focuses on a road crew, the behind-the-scenes people who make concerts happen and portrays life on the road.
“You people love drama,” declares Imogen Poots’ character during the video, and indeed there is plenty of drama with a dose of humor thrown in, including a stalker sneaking backstage, a naked dude (actually two), an apparent threesome and a gun being fired. Mowgli’s “San Francisco” soundtracks the clip, which also highlights a bit of the ensemble cast’s individual personalities, peppering scenes from backstage in with views of life from the road and on a tour bus.
“The key is family, the feeling you get when you realize you’re not alone,” a voiceover says.
The show stars Luke Wilson, Poots and Carla Gugino as the main character roadies. Rafe Spall, Luis Guzman, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Peter Cambor, Colson Baker and Ron White also feature on Roadies.
Roadies premieres June 26th on Showtime.
