Watch Sarah Jessica Parker Navigate ‘Divorce’ in New Trailer
Sarah Jessica Parker shared the first “appetizer” of her upcoming reunion with HBO, the show Divorce. The series will premiere on HBO this fall.

In the clip, Parker asks for a divorce from her husband, played by Thomas Haden Church. “Are you drunk?” Church asks as soon as she makes her declaration. The couple are seen later in a therapist’s office where it’s revealed that Church’s character had an “emotional affair.” Glimpses of supporting characters played by Molly Shannon and Talia Balsam are seen as well while the couple playfully navigates how things went wrong and whether or not they could make things work again.
Sharon Horgan, who co-created and stars in the UK series Catastrophe, is behind Divorce. The 30-minute comedy will be Parker’s first leading role in a show since Sex and the City ended in 2004. Since her last HBO series wrapped, she’s starred in several films, including New Year’s Eve, I Don’t Know How She Does It and two film sequels to her acclaimed show.
