Watch Presidential Debate Star Ken Bone Talk Internet Fame on ‘Kimmel’

Undecided voter talks red sweater, endorsement deals and “Boneheads”

Ken Bone, an undecided voter who asked a question during the second presidential debate discussed his 15 minutes of fame, his red sweater and told dad jokes on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday.

Kimmel asked Bone, wearing his signature half-zip sweater, whether he was aware of how “adorable” he was at the debate. “That’s a definitive yes,” said Bone with a smile, adding that he approves of his fans calling themselves “Boneheads.” “I’ve been calling my family that for years,” he siad.

Bone spoke about potential endorsement deals, joking he’d love his own line of mustache wax and revealed that his now famous red sweater was a last-minute wardrobe decision after accidentally splitting the seat of the olive suit he planned to wear. Bone also chatted about his family, noting his wife is already a bit exhausted by his newfound stardom, though his son remains impressed: “Logan says, ‘Dad is the best kind of famous — Internet famous.”

Kimmel also asked Bone about whether he was still undecided after the debate. “I try to really base most of my decisions on positive things, and neither of them have given me many,” Bone said. “Donald Trump is maybe more in line with my economic interests, because I work in coal, electricity, but I would really hate for anyone’s rights to be taken back. We fought so hard to get marriage equality and rights expanded to other Americans, and it’d be unconscionable to me to see those taken away by a Supreme Court justice appointed by Donald Trump.”

Donald Trump called himself a “gentleman” at the second presidential debate in St. Louis, though he was anything but. Watch here.
