Watch Lin-Manuel Miranda, Cecily Strong Spoof ‘Sex and the City’ on ‘SNL’

‘Hamilton’ creator and ‘Saturday Night Live’ star joke about New York City in episode promo

Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator and former lead of Broadway’s smash musical Hamilton, hopes to one day soak in the acclaimed hip-hop musical from the audience. “Everyone’s like, ‘Oh, good job. I can’t wait to see it,'” he says in a goofy promo for his upcoming SNL hosting gig. “I can’t get tickets! I really want to see it.”

In the clip, Miranda and SNL cast member Cecily Strong breeze through a series of surreal scenarios in a restaurant. “I’m just worried we’re not going to get along. I’m more of a Lin-Manuel … Samantha,” Strong tells the actor, mimicking the Sex and the City character.

Later, the comedian clears the air about her Miranda impression during the “Celebrity Family Feud” sketch on last week’s Season 42 premiere episode. The actor pretends to not be upset – until he storms out the restaurant, ordering Strong a “double-order of ‘I hate you!'”

Miranda hosts the October 8th episode of Saturday Night Live, featuring musical guest Twenty One Pilots.
