Watch Arnold Schwarzenegger Re-Enact Filmography With James Corden

Former governor joins ‘Late Late Show’ host for real-life acting montage – from ‘The Terminator’ to ‘Jingle All the Way’

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s filmography is a strange beast – full of iconic science-fiction flicks (The Terminator), lightweight comedies (Kindergarten Cop) and superhero disasters (Batman & Robin). Watching a career montage is a surreal experience, and the actor made that happen during Tuesday’s episode of The Late Late Show, joining host James Corden to re-enact some of his most famous – and infamous – scenes and lines.

Schwarzenegger opens the above clip by channeling his breakout role, the title adventurer in 1982’s Conan the Barbarian, but the timeline turns nonlinear – moving from the always quotable 1977 bodybuilding documentary Pumping Iron (“Milk is for babies – when you get older, you drink beer”) to the recent action-adventure trilogy The Expendables to the 1987 thriller Predator (“Get to the chopper!”).

All of Schwarzenegger’s blockbusters get their requisite references, including “I’ll be back” and “Hasta la vista, baby” from the Terminator movies. But Corden digs deeper in the vault, lampooning the oft-parodied 1996 holiday flop Jingle All the Way (“Put the cookie down!”) and the 1994 comedy Junior, in which the actor stars as a pregnant man (“My nipples are so sensitive”). Referencing Jamie Lee Curtis’ character from that same year’s spy-thriller True Lies, Corden straps on a bra and gives the former California governor a lap dance. “I can’t get up,” Schwarzenegger cries. “I have an erection!”

The action hero clearly enjoys looking back at his career. Last year, he joined Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon for a hilarious cooking show sketch, playing an enthusiastic food prep salesman with a soft spot for a vegetable slicer. Every time Fallon attempts to showcase a blender, Schwarzenegger switches the focus back to his product, yelling, “Let’s get to the chopper!”
