‘Two and a Half Men’ Star Angus T. Jones Calls Show ‘Filth’

New Christian convert urges viewers not to watch

Looks like Two and a Half Men cast members bashing their show is becoming a trend: Less than two years after Charlie Sheen’s infamous meltdown and subsequent removal from the CBS sitcom, Angus T. Jones, who plays the titular half-man Jake, has called the show “filth” and urged viewers to stop watching.

Jones made his comments about the show, now in its 10th season, in a new video for the Christian group Forerunner Chronicles. He said that Jake “means nothing” and “is a non-existent character,” before adding, “I’m on Two and a Half Men and I don’t want to be on it. Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth. People say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch.”

Jones also cautioned viewers about “the enemy,” presumably Satan, and added that he “didn’t want to contribute to the enemy’s plan.”

“You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that,” Jones said. “I know I can’t. I’m not OK with what I’m learning, what the Bible says and being on that television show.”

The show’s producers at Warner Bros. Television have declined to comment.
