Tina Fey Says ‘No Way’ to Hosting Oscars Next Year

Seth MacFarlane has already said he’s not interested in hosting the Oscars again, and it turns out Tina Fey doesn’t want the gig, either. The 30 Rock creator told The Huffington Post there’s “no way” she would be interested in hosting next year’s Academy Awards.
Speculation began about whether she would do it began in a bit during this year’s ceremony, when William Shatner teased host Seth MacFarlane by asking, “Why couldn’t they get Tina and Amy to host?”

Fey and Amy Poehler drew praise for their stint hosting January’s Golden Globes ceremony, which prompted The Huffington Post interviewer to ask about the Oscars. “I just feel like that gig is so hard,” Fey said. “Especially for, like, a woman – the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone . . . no way.” When the possibility of “a one in a million chance” was suggested, Fey replied, “I wish I could tell you there was.”
The reaction to MacFarlane’s performance last weekend has been sometimes negative, but certainly strong. After seven seasons, 30 Rock wrapped up last month with its series finale, and Fey is starring in Admission, which is due out March 22nd.
