The Black Keys will serve as Saturday Night Live‘s musical guest on May 10th, just three days prior to the release of their eighth studio album, Turn Blue. The episode, hosted by Charlize Theron, will feature tracks from that Danger Mouse-produced LP, and may include the psychedelic slow-jam “Turn Blue” and the hypnotic “Fever.”

“We are always trying to push ourselves when we make a record — not repeat our previous work but not abandon it either,” drummer Patrick Carney said in a statement about the album. “On this record, we let the songs breathe and explored moods, textures and sounds. We’re excited for the world to hear Turn Blue.”

On May 16th, the band will headline the Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama. After that, they’ll hit the road for an extensive summer tour of European festivals. Their Saturday Night Live appearance will be the band’s third on the show and first since 2011.

Meanwhile, St. Vincent (Annie Clark) has also been recruited for her debut appearance on the show. The acclaimed art-rocker will be featured on the May 17th season finale episode, hosted by SNL veteran Andy Samberg.

Clark released her fourth studio album, the eclectic St. Vincent (which earned a four-star review from Rolling Stone), back in February. During a supporting tour for LP, she and her band offered a stirring tribute to Kurt Cobain during a gig at Chicago’s Riviera, playing a faithful rendition of Nirvana’s 1991 classic “Lithium.” Clark then paid further respects to the band at their recent induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, joining Lorde, Joan Jett and Sonic Youth vocalist-bassist Kim Gordon for a four-song set of Nirvana classics.
