‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Mask Up for Action in New Trailer
As we learned in the first trailer for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot: Heroes aren’t born, they’re made. The film’s new teaser clip reiterates that fact, recycling gnarly footage of a crumbling city and April O’Neil (Megan Fox) filming a crew of bad guys wreaking havoc on innocent bystanders, but offers eager fans a closer look at the half-shell’s origins and the ridiculousness they’re set to get into this summer.

While no pizza is eaten, and once again we watch the crew careen down a mountaintop and introduce themselves to a bewildered April, we are treated to close-ups of Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo and Raphael getting ready for action (plus a quick sewer skateboarding shot), while there’s even what looks to be a quick flash of their rat sensei, Splinter.
Produced by Michael Bay and directed by Jonathan Liebesman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles recently added Johnny Knoxville to its cast as the voice of Leonardo, and Monk‘s Tony Shalhoub as the voice of Splinter. The film also stars William Fichtner, Whoopi Goldberg and Will Arnett. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles opens on August 8th.
