‘Sleepy Hollow’ Renewed for Second Season

Sleepy Hollow is the first show of the fall TV season to be renewed, with Fox announcing it will bring the show back next year for a limited run, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
A bonkers update of Washington Irving’s classic short story finds Ichabod Crane and the headless horseman transported to a contemporary New York that’s fraught with occult groups up to no good.

The show’s premiere scored the highest ratings for a debut drama on Fox in six years, but instead of picking up the traditional back-nine episodes, Sleepy Hollow will run out its 13-episode first season before returning next year with a similarly shortened season.
“The show has proven to be a risk well worth taking – it’s a conceptual blast unlike anything else on television and it all holds together with inventive writing and a fantastic cast,” said Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly. “I can’t wait for fans to experience what else is in store for this fall and even more of this wild ride into season two.”
