‘Saturday Night Live’ Announces At-Home Season Finale

Saturday Night Live‘s third at-home episode will air May 9th and serve as the finale for the show’s 45th season.
SNL announced the episode in a tweet alongside a clip of bloopers and outtakes from production on the last two at-home episodes: There’s Kate McKinnon watching her green screen collapse, Aidy Bryant losing a take to a horn honking outside her house and Heidi Gardner accidentally smacking herself with a door while filming the “SoulCycle at Home” sketch.

Saturday Night Live‘s first two at-home episodes aired in April after the coronavirus forced the show to shut down its usual production. So far, the episodes have featured guest appearances from Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, Adam Sandler, Alec Baldwin, Charles Barkley, Bill Hader, Paul Rudd, Fred Armisen and Jason Sudeikis. Musical guests included Coldplay’s Chris Martin covering Bob Dylan’s “Shelter From the Storm” and Miley Cyrus covering Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here.” The April 11th show also featured a touching tribute to longtime SNL musical director Hal Willner, who died of complications related to COVID-19.
