Mike Myers’ Dr. Evil Plots Midterm Congressional Run on ‘Fallon’
Mike Myers dusted off Dr. Evil, his nefarious, bald-headed villain from the Austin Powers franchise, on Monday’s Tonight Show. One day ahead of the midterm elections, the character revealed his plans to run for Congress – including a platform to “Make America Evil Again.”
The grey-clad cackler plotted a “five-point evil plan” to increase YouTube ad time, promote Donald Trump Jr. to secretary of treasury, make “Screamin’ Dill Pickle” the only flavor of Pringles, legalize weed (“Poppy needs that sticky-icky for his glaucoma”) and change the national anthem to the “Baby Shark Dance.”
“Haven’t you been following the news? It’s 2018. Evil’s ‘in’ right now. It’s ‘hip,'” he told host Jimmy Fallon “It’s like playing Fortnite while slamming a Tide Pod and doing the Shiggy Challenge.” Dr. Evil, who jokingly called himself a “white Cory Booker,” also noted that he originally wanted to pursue Brett Kavanaugh’s position as a Supreme Court justice, but “Trump said [he] was too even-tempered for that.”
