‘Man of Steel’ Sequel in the Works
Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman in next entry
The new Superman movie Man of Steel doesn’t open until this Friday, but Warner Bros. is already planning for a sequel. Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman, Zack Snyder will return to direct and David S. Goyer will write the sequel, Deadline reports, though producer and co-story writer Christopher Nolan’s involvement is unclear.

Man of Steel steers into Dark Knight territory, replacing the camp of earlier incarnations with a darker tone and gritty feel as Cavill’s Clark Kent, an exile from the destroyed planet Krypton, grows up struggling to find his place on Earth among a populace without his super-human powers.
