Lincoln and Silver Linings Playbook lead the nominees for the 19th iteration of the Screen Actors Guild Awards with four nods each, including Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. Lincoln is also up for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for Daniel Day-Lewis’ portrayal of Abraham Lincoln, and Tommy Lee Jones and Sally Field earned nods for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor and Female Actor in a Supporting Role for their portrayals of Thaddeus Stevens and Mary Todd Lincoln, respectively.
The romantic comedy Silver Linings Playbook earned a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast, and lead actors Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence both received nominations for Outstanding Performance by a Male and Female Actor in a Leading Role. Robert De Niro also snagged a nod for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role.

Les Misérables picked up three nominations, including Outstanding Performance by a Cast and individual nods for Anne Hathaway (Female Actor in a Supporting Role) and Hugh Jackman (Male Actor in a Leading Role). Argo scored two nods, including Outstanding Performance by a Cast and an individual nomination for Alan Arkin (Male Actor in a Supporting Role). Well-reviewed films The Master and Zero Dark Thirty underwhelmed with one nomination each.
Homeland led all TV drama nominees with three nominations, including Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Modern Family led comedy nominees with four nods.
