Jon Bon Jovi is looking to dive into reality television. The Bon Jovi singer and guitarist will be partnering with TWC-Dimension to produce a new series called If I Wasn’t a Rock Star.

According to Variety, the series will bring rock stars back to their hometowns. Without their managers and representatives, the rockers are expected to reflect on how their lives would be different if they weren’t famous. “I was drawn to this project simply because it will be a celebration of the working men and women of this country,” commented Bon Jovi. “They are the real rock stars.”

The musician has worked on the small screen before, though primarily in front of the camera. In 2002, he had a recurring role on Ally McBeal and guest starred on Sex and the City in 1999. He has also played himself on The West Wing and 30 Rock. Bon Jovi’s most recent crack at acting came in 2011 when he starred alongside Katherine Heigl in New Year’s Eve.

Bon Jovi, the band, has kept a relatively low profile since 2013’s What About Now, though the group began a massive catalog reissue last year. The first release was a remastered version of 1988’s New Jersey. In May, the singer will make a solo appearance in the Bahamas as part of Runaway Tours.

The series has yet to reveal a network or air date.
