Jerry Seinfeld will bring his web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee to Netflix as part of a larger deal with the streaming site, Deadline reports.

Seinfeld will create two new stand-up specials for Netflix, with the first expected to arrive this year. He will also develop scripted and non-scripted series for the website. Meanwhile, Comedians in Cars will arrive on Netflix with 24 new episodes in late 2017, along with the show’s entire back catalog. More episodes are expected to follow in 2018 and beyond.

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee premiered in 2012 on Sony’s Crackle platform and recently kicked off its ninth season. As the blunt title suggests, episodes feature Seinfeld conducting lengthy interviews with performers in a classic car and over a cup of coffee. Past guests include Larry David, Chris Rock, Tina Fey, Jon Stewart, Amy Schumer and even Barack Obama (as Seinfeld joked in that episode, the President has “gotten off just enough funny lines to qualify for getting on this show”).

As for the other aspects of Seinfeld’s Netflix deal, the comedian has notably not released a stand-up special since 1998’s I’m Telling You For The Last Time, despite touring and performing constantly. In 2002, he delved into the art and mechanics of comedy in the documentary, Comedian, while in 2011 he launched a website collecting a vast archive of past routines.

Seinfeld’s agreement with Netflix comes as the streaming giant continues to pad its already impressive comedy lineup. Last year, Chris Rock announced a deal for two new stand-up specials – his first since 2008 – while Dave Chappelle also partnered with Netflix for three specials, including one original set and two never-aired performances from Austin City Limits and the Hollywood Palladium.
