Jason Sudeikis will not be returning for the next season of Saturday Night Live. According to Reuters, the comedian confirmed rumors of his departure yesterday during a taping of the Late Show With David Letterman.

“Yeah, I’m going to leave. Yeah, I’m not coming back next fall,” Sudeikis said on the show, which aired last night on CBS. The comic, who has appeared in movies including Horrible Bosses and The Campaign, had pondered leaving before last season before deciding to stay with the show shortly before last September’s season premiere.

Sudeikis is the latest SNL cast member to decide that he will not be returning for the show’s 39th season. Fellow cast members Bill Hader and Fred Armisen each announced earlier this summer that they weren’t returning.

Seth Meyers will also be leaving at the end of the year to replace fellow SNL alumnus Jimmy Fallon on Late Night. Fallon will step in for Jay Leno on The Tonight Show
