Jack White to Guest on ‘The Muppets’ Season Finale

Jack White has some important advising to do when he meets with Kermit the Frog during ABC’s The Muppets first season finale on March 1st. Kermit and Miss Piggy have been on the outs on the show and “he helps Kermit with his relationship with Miss Piggy,” according to a poster on White’s Third Man Records Facebook page.
“Jack White has some very important business to tend to concerning his friend Kermit and matters of the heart,” the accompanying post says. “Tune into ‘The Muppets’ season finale next Tuesday, March 1st to see if his efforts pay off!”
When Third Man Records shared the news via Twitter, Kermit the Frog responded. “Thanks for the advice, #JackWhite! If this music thing doesn’t work, you’d have a great career as a love therapist.”
Several artists have appeared on The Muppets reboot, including Ingrid Michaelson, RuPaul, Joan Jett and Josh Groban. When Dave Grohl appeared on the show, there was an epic drum battle with Animal and he performed Foo Fighters hit “Learn to Fly” backed by Miss Piggy’s house band, The Electric Mayhem. There’s no word yet on whether White will perform during his appearance on Tuesday.
Last month, White shared a rare live cut, “Itchy,” from his pre-White Stripes group, Two Star Tabernacle, and also premiered his and The Avett Brothers’ American Epic documentary during Sundance Film Festival.
