Jack White May Record Music For ‘Schoolboys In Disgrace’ Movie

Film version of Kinks concept album is being developed by Bobcat Goldthwait

Kinks frontman Ray Davies has confirmed that Jack White is in talks to record music for a film adaptation of the Kinks' 1975 concept album Schoolboys in Disgrace. "He's a great technical player and would bring some great anarchy to it, which is in keeping with the script," Davies told the BBC.

The movie is being developed by comedian and director Bobcat Goldthwait. "He's written a great script, we've got the money to do it but he's got another movie to do and then he's thinking about doing Schoolboys later this year or early next year," Davies said. "Bobcat's got a really good vision of what he wants. Once the script's been approved, I never interfere with a director and what they want."
