Exclusive Video: John and Yoko Scene from New Beatles Documentary
The story of the Beatles has been told in countless books and films, but the new BBC-produced Beatles: From Liverpool to San Francisco tells it from a new angle. Largely ignoring the Beatles’ early club days in England and the second half of their career as non-touring studio band, it focuses almost entirely on the manic Beatlemania era of their breakthrough in early 1964 through their final concert at San Francisco’s Candlestick Park in August of 1966.

The doc is largely built around rarely seen footage and interviews of the group during their frantic worldwide tours, though there are no new interviews. Below you can exclusively see a scene near the end of John Lennon and Yoko Ono at their historic Bed-In For Peace. The documentary airs Wednesday, December 8 — the anniversary of John Lennon’s death — at 10:00 PM EST on BBC America.
