Dave Chappelle Brings Three New Stand-Up Specials to Netflix

After Dave Chappelle‘s long-anticipated return to television hosting Saturday Night Live, the comedian announced he will air three new stand-up specials on Netflix in 2017. The trio includes one original new set and two never-aired live performances from Austin City Limits and the Hollywood Palladium, respectively.
The new special marks Chappelle’s first in 12 years since Dave Chappelle’s Block Party came out in 2005. The specials will appear on the streaming service simultaneously. No airdate has been announced.
“Dave Chappelle is a legendary voice in comedy – searing, vital, and now more than ever, essential,” said Netflix executive Lisa Nishimura in a statement. “Dave’s three new specials promise to be some of the most anticipated events in comedy, and we are honored he will mark his global return on Netflix.
Netflix previously reached a two-comedy specials deal with Chris Rock in October, Variety reported.
