TBS has a lock on The Cone Zone. Comedy legend Conan O’Brien will continue to host his late-night show on the network through at least 2018, having signed a new contract that extends his deal another three years, Variety reports.

This is O’Brien’s second extension in the last two years, following a 2013 deal that locked in the host until November 2015. Though Conan‘s ratings haven’t been splendid (an average of 862,000 viewers, according to Variety), he’s found a stable viewership with adults between the ages of 18 and 49 – with his numbers rising in the first quarter of 2014.

Of course, the rest of the late-night circuit is anything but stable. Last month, comic institution David Letterman announced his plans to retire from The Late Show in 2015, and Colbert Report host Stephen Colbert is set to take over. Meanwhile, Craig Ferguson is leaving The Late Late Show at the end of the year, and Chelsea Handler of Chelsea Lately is doing the same.

Overall, it’s been a great year for the ginger prince of late-night: Back in April, O’Brien hosted MTV’s “second most prestigious awards show,” the MTV Movie Awards; last week, he launched the Team Coco comedy record label, which will highlight comedians on the rise.
