‘Breaking Bad’ Shares More Bloopers

Watch Uncle Jack blank on his dialogue with Walter White

A new set of Breaking Bad bloopers premiered recently on Today. In them, actors bump into one another, forget lines and innocently walk through the backgrounds of scenes holding guns.

The best one finds Bryan Cranston and Michael Bowen, who plays the swastika-tattooed character Jack Welker, out in the desert where a pivotal scenes takes place. It begins as Cranston, playing Walter White, stares off into the distance. Bowen sidles up to him and just stares. Off-screen, a voice says, “Let’s take that back.”

Five Revelations From the Near-Perfect ‘Breaking Bad’ Finale

“You don’t like [me] to just sit there and not say anything?” Bowen asks.

“I liked it,” Cranston says. “I could feel his breath on my earlobe.”

Since the series finale in September, outtakes and bonus clips from all five seasons have been making their way online. One presents an alternate ending for the series, in which Cranston wakes up from a dream in the character of Hal, the dad he played on the sitcom Malcolm in the Middle. Another found Cranston busting actor Dean Norris’s chops with director Vince Gilligan, jokingly calling him a “pain in the ass.”

And even though it’s over, Gilligan – who has since made an acting appearance in the sitcom Community – is still talking about what could have happened to Breaking Bad character Jesse Pinkman. In a recent interview, he said that he would like to believe that Pinkman got away and moved to Alaska after he drives away in the series finale.

Gilligan is also working on the Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul, a new series that will delve into the backstory of sleazy lawyer Saul Goodman, played by Bob Odenkirk. “There’s obviously a danger inherent in doing a spinoff,” Gilligan said of the new show, “but I just love the character of Saul Goodman so much, and part of me doesn’t want to say no to this world.”
