Beyoncé and her representatives at the talent agency ICM have been shopping a new documentary about the pop star’s life and career directed by none other than the singer herself, the Los Angeles Times reports.

According to an unidentified source familiar with the project, the doc will look at Beyoncé’s life and music, combining concert footage and confessional interview. Twenty minutes of footage has been reportedly shown to distributors.

It’s uncertain what period of Beyoncé’s life the documentary focuses on, but considering the singer’s busy past two years – another top-selling album, the birth of her and Jay-Z’s first child and splitting with her longtime manager, her father Matthew Knowles – there’s plenty of ripe storytelling material.

This isn’t the only film project Beyoncé has in the works: She was recently tapped to voice a character in the upcoming animated flick Epic, which will also feature voiceover work from fellow musicians Steven Tyler and Pitbull, as well as big names like Colin Farrell and Amanda Seyfried.

The singer is reportedly still set to star in a new version of A Star Is Born, which Clint Eastwood will produce and direct. The film was delayed initially because of Beyoncé’s pregnancy and remains in pre-production as producers continue to look for a male lead.
