Rosalía is the latest artist to lend her name to a M·A·C Cosmetics campaign. The recently-announced M·A·C VIVA GLAM ambassador unveiled her first collaborative product with the makeup brand today. The VIVA GLAM 26 Lipstick is a bold, fiery-red lipstick that M·A·C says was inspired by the singer’s “iconic red looks and signature Spanish style.”
The limited-edition lipstick sells for $19 on the M·A·C website, and the company says 100% of the selling price will be donated to the M∙A∙C VIVA GLAM Fund, which supports female empowerment, along with HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ+ focused communities.
Rosalía follows in the footsteps of previous M•A•C ambassadors, including Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus. The cosmetics brand says it was inspired not only by the Barcelona-born singer’s flamenco roots, but also by her generosity in wanting to support and uplift young women. For her part, the newly-dubbed “M•A•Ctivist” says she was thrilled to take part in the new campaign. “Giving is a good look,” Rosalía says in a press release. “It’s an honor to be the face of VIVA GLAM 26 and to champion a cause that is inclusive, supports individuality and gives back 100%.”
The M•A•C VIVA GLAM collections have raised more than $500 million globally since launching in 1994. The new Rosalía lipstick is available now in select M·A·C stores and online at maccosmetics.com.
