Triumph the Insult Comic Dog took a trot through the spin room at last month’s Democratic debate in Charleston, South Carolina. There, he had the chance to dump on everyone from Martin O’Malley (RIP, O’Malley campaign) to Run the Jewels’ Killer Mike and DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Triumph had some tough questions (and at least one lewd remark about Lassie) for Wasserman Schultz about this cycle’s Democratic debate schedule, which features 20 fewer debates than it did in 2008.

“They think you’re favoring Hillary. Has Hillary promised you something? A cabinet position or free access to her pantsuit guy?” the plush puppet, voiced by comedian Robert Smigel, asked.

Triumph even caught a little heat from one woman backstage, who called him sexist for cracking jokes about Clinton’s hair: “When Secretary Clinton goes to her hairstylist, does she show her stylist a picture of Siegfried or of Roy?”

The cigar-chomping Rottweiler was an equal-opportunity abuser, though, criticizing Bernie Sanders’ looks (“Did he spend 30 years in the womb? What’s his secret? Did he sleep in a food dehydrator?”) as well as Martin O’Malley’s lack of airtime (“Did it bother you, did it concern you that you were only visible to people watching the 70 millimeter version of the debate?”).
