Watch Stephen Colbert Dine With Hillary Clinton, Dash on Check
Hillary Clinton joined Stephen Colbert on The Late Show Monday for an interview at Carnegie Deli to discuss Bill Clinton’s veganism, being a subversive grandmother and the proper way to eat cheesecake.
The mostly food-centric chat began with Clinton denying that her husband was a snobby vegan and a discussion about the significant benefits of eating food-on-a-stick while walking around a fairground on the campaign trail.
Later, Colbert asked Clinton if she was worried that Republicans would be waiting with a meat slicer to cut through any of her policies should she be elected president. When Clinton assured him that Republicans would work with her, Colbert asked if he could place a $5 bet on it. Clinton grinned, “You could have even $10 or $15.”
Elsewhere, Clinton gave the host a thumbs-up on his Bill impression while chatting about how they spoiled their grandchild, and before Colbert dined-and-dashed, he showed the candidate how to eat cheesecake after she declined a slice in front of the press at Junior’s. After slicing a smidgen off the top, Colbert shoved the slice into his mouth and mumbled, “This is humanizing; people love this!”
