Watch ‘SNL’ Mock Racist Donald Trump Supporters in Campaign Ad

Jason Sudeikis returns to ‘SNL’ for first time in two years to reprise his Mitt Romney role in Super Tuesday sketch

During Saturday Night Live‘s two-week hiatus, Republican frontrunner Donald Trump briefly came under fire for not immediately disavowing an endorsement from former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke, further perpetuating a belief that Trump’s racially charged platform is attracting racist voters. SNL mocked that slice of the Republican frontrunner’s fan base with a straitlaced campaign ad that exposes seemingly normal Trump supporters as not-so-closet Neo-Nazis, Klansmen, Islamophobes and white supremacists.

Trump’s Super Tuesday victory speech – co-starring a shell-shocked Chris Christie – was also spoofed during the SNL cold open, with Darrell Hammond’s Trump bossing around Bobby Moynihan’s subordinate New Jersey governor. “Racists love me,” Trump brags.

Mitt Romney’s recent reemergence on the campaign trail to slam Trump also gave SNL a welcome excuse to bring back former cast member Jason Sudeikis, who left the show in 2013. With the 2012 GOP presidential candidate back in the spotlight, Sudeikis made his first SNL appearance in two years to reprise his Romney role and dispiritedly acknowledge that no matter what he says, there’s no stopping Trump.
