Up with Chris Hayes: What Obama’s Nightmare Scenario Looks Like

What is Obama’s nightmare scenario for November’s election? A panel yesterday on Up w/ Chris Hayes discussed the possibilites.
Last month was the first in which Mitt Romney crushed Barack Obama in the money game. Add to that the Wisconsin recall election, which Republican Gov. Scott Walker survived at least partly due to his 7-1 fundraising advantage, and we may have a glimpse of how horribly wrong things could go for Obama in November.
Obama’s campaign is left having to decide between competing with Republicans in costly ad buys or doubling down on their swing-state ground game (get-out-the-vote, door-to-door campaigning), where they have a better hope of prevailing. That of course assumes that Democrats can win on the ground, an assumption that, after Wisconsin, looks iffy. The Nation‘s John Nichols pointed to the extraordinary 80 percent voter turnout in the working-class suburbs of Racine, WI as evidence that the Walker campaign’s cash edge didn’t only buy dominance on TV, it also “bought a lot of ground.” Watch:
