A DOJ Lawyer Was Told Russia Had Trump ‘Over a Barrel’

A Justice Department lawyer learned from Christopher Steele, the author of the salacious Trump kompromat dossier, that Russian intelligence had Trump “over a barrel” in the summer of 2016, according to a scoop from the Associated Press.
The DOJ lawyer, Bruce Ohr, worked in the office of then-deputy attorney general Sally Yates. Ohr and the author of the dossier, Steele, were long-standing buddies who bonded years earlier over an interest in defanging organized crime.
The pair met repeatedly during the 2016 campaign, according to the AP, including after Steele had approached reporters with his dossier, leading the FBI to stop relying on him as a source. Ohr also reportedly learned from Steele that Trump campaign adviser Carter Page had met with “more senior Russian officials” than he had let on.
According to the AP, Ohr did not let his superiors know about his meetings with Steele, or the information he’d learned, because he considered the intel too raw and the allegations too explosive.
This report helps explain why Ohr — an obscure figure with zero previous national profile — has emerged as a new target of President Trump’s Twitter broadsides, going back to the first weeks of August. Adding to Trump’s outrage: Ohr’s wife, Nellie, worked for the left-leaning firm Fusion GPS that commissioned the Steele Dossier.
Below is just a flavor of the president’s ire:
The big story that the Fake News Media refuses to report is lowlife Christopher Steele’s many meetings with Deputy A.G. Bruce Ohr and his beautiful wife, Nelly. It was Fusion GPS that hired Steele to write the phony & discredited Dossier, paid for by Crooked Hillary & the DNC….

Bruce Ohr of the “Justice” Department (can you believe he is still there) is accused of helping disgraced Christopher Steele “find dirt on Trump.” Ohr’s wife, Nelly, was in on the act big time – worked for Fusion GPS on Fake Dossier. @foxandfriends

“The FBI received documents from Bruce Ohr (of the Justice Department & whose wife Nelly worked for Fusion GPS).” Disgraced and fired FBI Agent Peter Strzok. This is too crazy to be believed! The Rigged Witch Hunt has zero credibility.

“Very concerned about Comey’s firing, afraid they will be exposed,” said Bruce Ohr. DOJ’s Emails & Notes show Bruce Ohr’s connection to (phony & discredited) Trump Dossier. A creep thinking he would get caught in a dishonest act. Rigged Witch Hunt!

“Bruce Ohr of DOJ is in legal jeopardy, it’s astonishing that he’s still employed. Bruce & Nelly Ohr’s bank account is getting fatter & fatter because of the Dossier that they are both peddling. He doesn’t disclose it under Fed Regs. Using your Federal office for personal…….

Will Bruce Ohr, whose family received big money for helping to create the phony, dirty and discredited Dossier, ever be fired from the Jeff Sessions “Justice” Department? A total joke!

How the hell is Bruce Ohr still employed at the Justice Department? Disgraceful! Witch Hunt!

Wow, Nellie Ohr, Bruce Ohr’s wife, is a Russia expert who is fluent in Russian. She worked for Fusion GPS where she was paid a lot. Collusion! Bruce was a boss at the Department of Justice and is, unbelievably, still there!
