The branding of John McCain is an embarrassing work in progress.

First, in the primary season, there was Lord-Vader-esque Black McCain:

… which they still revive in ads featuring the campaign’s trademark waning gibbous headshot:

As the general election contest approached, McCain entered his blue period:

Followed, in a pique of greenwashing, by McCain Vert:

This week, has been chaotic, as we’ve seen Disco McCain:

and at least two variations of Rip-Off Obama McCain:

These jokers have no idea what they’re selling. And if they can’t even get the marketing right, it’s alarming to think how this kind of I-dunno…Let’s-try-this! approach might translate into governing.
