See Amy Poehler, Tina Fey Reprise Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin on ‘SNL’

Just hours after Hillary Clinton once again faced off against Bernie Sanders at the Dem Debate, “Hillary Clinton” was greeted by “2008 Hillary Clinton” in a hilarious Saturday Night Live sketch that found former SNL cast member Amy Poehler reprising her Clinton impression alongside the cast’s current “Hillary,” Kate McKinnon. The sketch – dubbed “A Hillary Christmas” – also featured the return of Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin, who shared her advice on how Clinton can make it to the Oval Office this time and not wind up as a secretary… of State.
“In just 11 months, you’re going to finally get your present. No one can stop you now. The Republicans are bozos, the DNC is sabotaging Bernie. I think you’re going to sleep well tonight,” McKinnon’s Hillary gloats into the mirror at the beginning of the sketch. She’s then visited by the Ghost of Christmas Past – Poehler’s Clinton – who warns her not to get too smug about her inevitable presidency.
“On Christmas eve 2007, I was cocky too, and then someone named Barack Obama stumbled out of a soup kitchen with a basketball and a cigarette and stole my life,” 2008 Hillary warns. However, when present-day Clinton informs her 2008 counterpart that she’s running against Sanders and – eventually – Donald Trump, Poehler’s Hillary rejoices, “Oh my god! We’re going to be president!”
Fey’s Palin then shows up out of nowhere – “Oh geeze, it looks like I went through time and space again” – to rain on the Clintons’ celebratory parade.
