A couple dozen Occupy Wall Street protesters hit the road this morning for “Occupy the Highway,” a two-week two-week trek from Zuccotti Park in Manhattan to Washington’s McPherson Square. They’ll walk about 20 miles per day, holding rallies with Occupy Philly, Occupy Baltimore and Occupy D.C. along the way. The march’s arrival in the capital is timed to the meeting of the Congressional Super-Committee; protesters will rally in front of the White House “to demand the members of the committee serve the 99% and let the tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans expire.”
