First Lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden will appear on NBC’s The Voice, but they presumably won’t be auditioning, despite songwriter Diane Warren recently giving the FLOTUS props for her singing chops. According to Variety, the pair will appear on the show to commemorate the fifth anniversary of their Joining Forces initiative, which supports service members, veterans and their families by providing employment, education, and wellness resources.

Obama and Dr. Biden will appear on the May 2nd episode of The Voice, which will feature an audience of active duty and retired service members along with military families. Monday’s show is focused on the Top 10 contestants remaining in the singing competition.

The following night on May 3rd, Obama will make another guest appearance when she stars on CBS’s NCIS. As Variety points out, this will be the first time Obama has allowed a non-news television program into the White House.

Beyond the television appearances, Obama and Dr. Biden have scheduled several appearances for the intiative’s anniversary, including military base visits and they will also attend the Opening Ceremonies of the 2016 Invictus Games at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, FL, on May 8th.

Obama’s appearance on The Voice isn’t her first high profile music-related event. Last month, she was a keynote speaker at South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin where she spoke about her Let Girls Learn initiative. In conjunction with her SXSW appearance, she enlisted Missy Elliott, Zendaya, Kelly Clarkson, Janelle Monae, Kelly Rowland, Lea Michele, Jadagrace and Chloe & Halle for the Warren-penned song, “This is For My Girls.” Proceeds from the empowerment anthem benefit Let Girls Learn.
