Matthews to Rock for Kerry

Mary J. Blige also joins rescheduled “Change” concert

The Dave Matthews Band will make its only New York City appearance of the summer to play "A Change Is Going to Come," a benefit concert for presidential candidate John Kerry, on July 8th at New York's Radio City Music Hall. Mary J. Blige, Jon Bon Jovi, Wyclef Jean, John Mellencamp will be among the other performers.

"Whether one is talking about the economy or the environment, jobs, workers' rights or education, national security or the war on terror, John Kerry is the only choice," says Matthews. "A vote for John Kerry is a vote for a stronger, safer, better America."

The event was originally scheduled for June 10th but was cancelled in deference to the observance of Ronald Reagan's death.
