Free Speech? Not Vs. the Veep

Steve Howards, a Colorado man, is suing the U.S. Secret Service for placing him in handcuffs and arresting him, after he told Vice President Cheney: "I think your policies in Iraq are reprehensible." Cheney was in a mall, shaking hands with people, when Howards approached him. The SS didn't arrest him right away, and Howards left the area. When he returned 10 minutes later, accompanied by his 7 year old son, agents said he'd "assaulted" Cheney. He was cuffed and taken to jail.

It's obvious that if Howards had assaulted the Veep he would have been wrestled to the ground instantly, if not shot.
