Dickinson on Rep. Allen West’s McCarthyite ‘Trolling’

On Current TV’s Young Turks show last night, Rolling Stone‘s own Tim Dickinson joined Megan Carpenter of Raw Story and host Cenk Uygur to tackle the perennial question: What the hell is it with Allen West? West, if you need catching up, is a hard-core conservative congressman from Florida with a history of making ridiculous and/or offensive comments to grab headlines. Yesterday, West breezily estimated that about 80 House Democrats are Communists. Sigh. Tim’s take: “I think he’s straight trolling us” for attention. Guess it worked.
