Daily Show: ‘All Obama Ever Does Is Ask Me For Money’
Barack Obama attended a $40,000-a-plate fundraiser dinner last week in New York City hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker. But, asked Jon Stewart on last night’s Daily Show, “Are such celebrity-studded fundraising events appropriate in these troubled times?” He turned to correspondent Samantha Bee for insight.
In the latest episode of Sam and the City, Sam explained that the president just hasn’t been a good boyfriend lately: “I just feel like, four years ago, he was so into me, and now all he ever does is ask me for money. His emails are so needy.” On the one hand, Sam can’t seem to quit Obama, for lack of alternatives: “There is this one other guy from Massachusetts, he’s a billionaire, but he’s just so weird, you know.” Then again, that weird rich guy started to look better after Sam got turned away from Obama’s fundraiser. “I guess I didn’t really have what [Obama] needed right now,” she reflected, sadly – “powerful friends and an enormous and available line of credit.” Watch:
